Nothing Says Old School Like A 283 Chevy Engine

This is an all original 1964 283 Chevy engine. It looks good compared to a lot of engines this age. The block is the original 3.875 bore. I have not checked the crank to see if it is original size. This is a factory 220 hp engine. It will need to go to the machine shop for hot tanking and magnafluxing. Since this is a low cost build, hopefully the cylinders will clean up with just honing and rebore will not be necessary. The heads will need new seats installed for unleaded fuel. This purchase was $150.00.

Now it's time to find a good turbo 350 transmission.

Project Cost To Date Is $400.00
