IT LOOKS LIKE THE LAST TIME THIS OLD PRINZ WAS DRIVEN WAS IN 1967 IN ARKANSAS

THE DECK LID ON THIS OLD CAR LOOKS LIKE IT WAS BURNED BY AN ENGINE FIRE

The rust and the natural patina will be perfect for the table pieces

THE MASKING TAPE WORKS WELL TO HELP DECIDE THE SIZE OF THE OLD METAL BEFORE CUTTING IT

The black dots simulate the copper nails that will be used to nail the old car metal to the table

OLD CAR AND TRUCK DOORS ARE THE BEST !

This is a 1957 NSU PRINZ door. It has been out doors for years. It is still solid. They don't make them like this anymore. The carhop tray is from Sivil's Drive In in Dallas, Texas. Note the brace underneath compared to the ones that just hung on the window like Sonic used.

Remember when you had to roll your window up or down just a little more so the bottom bracket would hold against the door ?

THE TOP IS ROUTED 2 1/4 " X 3x8 " FOR THE MAHOGANY INLAY

I REALLY LIKE THE CONTRAST OF THE MAHOGANY AGAINST THE RED OAK AND THE YELLOW PINE

I am still trying to decide what to do from the top down.

TIME TO GET THIS LITTLE TABLE DONE !

I wanted to inlay a steel strip across the ends of the table to cover the bolt holes, but I need to get this table done, so this piece of mahogany should be a nice look with the other woods. I really don't think my grandsons will be too picky about the inlay
