12 MORE PIECES OF SIDING TO GO ON THE FRONT

I had a little time to install some siding today.
Foggy mornings are nice as long as you don't have to drive in it.

STARTING TO FILL IN THE FRONT

Gotta get out and find some more pickets. The siding takes a lot of pieces.

MAYBE A BARBER SHOP

There used to be a little barber shop downtown Mulberry Arkansas, just about this size.

A LITTLE LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT

The old gas light is converted to an electric light. It probably needs painting, but what color?

" DANCING WITH THE STARS"

Elvis....you moved your pelvis with the confidence of a super star! You shuffled your blue suede shoes as if you were skating on clouds. Well done, by far, the best dance of this competition!

10 10 10

Well, it's one for the money,
Two for the show,
Three to get ready,
Now go, cat, go.

10 10 10

It takes a smart brunette to be a "Dumb Blonde"

I KIND OF LIKE IT A LITTLE GROWN UP AROUND THE BUILDING

Gotta cut the grass when the flowers are gone

GREAT ROCK FIND TODAY

A great load of rock today from Waxahachie, Texas. That town rings a bell, oh yea, I was born there.

1/8 MILE OF DRIVEWAY

Over 10 years, one load at a time

SOME MORNINGS YOU LEAVE A LITTLE DISORIENTED

And then you look up and see that you are "Headin South"

THE WELL PUMP IS OUT

250 feet later, here is the pump. Looks like we need a new one. Mike was all smiles when we got this thing out.

ALMOST MAY AND STILL COLD ! NO PROGRESS TODAY

With the weather being cold, wet, and windy, all you can do is dig through the old stuff. The lighted clocks are fun to display.

It is April 23rd 6 P.M. in TEXAS

It is April 24th 3 A.M. in MOSCOW

It is April 23rd  11 A.M. in BERLIN

AN UNEXPECTED FIND TODAY FOR A FUTURE GARDEN SHED

This was a good find today. This will be the door for an upcoming project. It will be a potting shed/greenhouse out in the garden between two trees.

A COUPLE OF HOURS OF SIDING WORK TODAY

It's a lot of work to make all of this siding, but it is my favorite part of these buildings. I'm going out tomorrow and try to round up some more fence pickets.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN IT RAINS MOST OF THE DAY IN EAST TEXAS ?

Well, first, you put the pig in the oven, and then you just walk around and look at all of your things that you love. This is bacon on top, since this meat is so lean. This was cooked 7 hours at 200 degrees. It is "Fall Off The Bone Tender"

JUST ONE MARILYN

Love anything Marilyn!

RECOGNIZE ANY OF THESE "STARS" ?

I love this. This was a gift from my daughter.

GOTTA LOVE A RED 57 CHEVY

I wish I still had my 57 Chevy!

JUST STARTING TO HAVE FUN AND THE WEATHER TURNS BAD

One picket is making two pieces after cutting off the bad ends

THE SIDING BRINGS IT TOGETHER

This is slow fitting the siding to the pole, but it looks good.

RUSTIC RED SHERWIN WILLIAMS FOR THE EXTERIOR

Sherwin Williams "Super Paint" has really worked well on my projects. I learned the hard way not to use cheap paint!

LOVE THOSE COKE SIGNS

I love this sign. It is 4 feet by 6 feet. It would look great outside, but would fade.

PICKETS ARE DOUG FIR, SPRUCE, AND CEDAR

Bevel is from 5/16's to 5/8's. It just needs a rabbit cut on the back side.

PLANING EDGES DOWN TO 3 INCHES

The edges are planed to 3 inches in groups of 5.

THE SIDING WILL HIDE A LOT OF SIN

This fits nice down on the pole. Each end cut will have to be cut to fit the variations in the corner poles.

LOOKS LIKE THE PICKETS WILL MAKE THE SIDING

The pickets will clean up good with just a couple of trips through the planer. These will work well for the wedge lap siding.

82 NICE 2x6's 12 FT. NOT FREE, BUT A GREAT PRICE!

This was a really nice find. A man purchased these a year ago, but never used them. They have been protected from the weather. These 82, 12 ft. long 2x6's will be rafters for the next three projects.
